ISYPORT
Isyport addresses the challenge of navigational safety in port and near port infrastructure areas, i.e., those areas subject to the highest number of maritime accidents, especially collisions and collisions.
Isyport is the creation of a coordinated system of innovative methods and tools, based on information from numerical simulations, sensor data and decision support tools and its aim is to recognize the hazardous events and thus it is able to provide support for "situational awareness."
A real-time sensor data fusion and analysis system will be realized, through which users, both professional and amateur will be able to share with each other and with port operators all the information for safe execution of port maneuvers.
In order to validate the tools developed, experimentation of the same will be conducted at the ports of Augusta and Catania under the competence of the Port System Authority of the Sea of Eastern Sicily. This choice is also associated with the fact that the Italian region where the highest number of accidents occur is Sicily (Maritime Accidents Report).
In conclusion a plan for the dissemination of the results and technology transfer of the project will be carried out by targeting specific beneficiaries (other Research Organizations and other industrial entities, Public Administrations) of different levels (local, regional and national).
